EBM Insurance & Risk, one of Australia’s leading privately owned and operated insurance brokers, has announced the appointment of Clancy Carter in the role of Return to Work Specialist.

In this pivotal role, Clancy will lead EBM’s new Early Intervention Return to Work Service which aims to streamline the return to work process and improve outcomes for injured workers and their employers.

Clancy, a Physiotherapist and accredited mediator, brings extensive experience in proactive injury management to overcome both the physical and psychosocial aspects of recovery, ensuring that workers return to work in a safe, timely, and sustainable manner.

The Early Intervention Return to Work Service is founded on the principles of Safe Work Australia’s It Pays to Care program which underscores the importance of proactive intervention to foster better recovery times and reduce claim costs.

“Early intervention is one of the most effective ways to support injured workers while minimising the impact of claims. Our new service equips employers with the tools to act quickly and confidently, supported by expert guidance that aligns with the It Pays to Care philosophy. By prioritising collaboration, timely treatment, and suitable duties, we’re helping employers reduce costs while doing the right thing by their people.”  Julian Lane, EBM’s National Manager – Injury Management.
