Please note
 
A uncontrolled bushfire is threatening property south of Northcliffe in the
Shire of Manjimup, W.A..

As a precaution an immediate embargo has been placed on underwriting property, engineering, motor vehicle, package, farm, home and marine policies until Wednesday week.  

The embargo will be removed once the Fire and Emergency Services Authority of Western Australia (FESA) change the status to 'All Clear' but in the meantime the areas under threat will be monitored and postcodes varied as appropriate.  

The underwriting restrictions now in place are:
  • No writing of any new business
  • No increase to sum insured (limits)
  • No adding of locations to existing policies

The scope of the embargo is currently postcode 6262 only.
